GET A CULTS3D MODEL PRINTED

Cults3D is a marketplace as much as a library: many models are free, many are paid, and all of them need a signed-in account to download.

ACCOUNT NEEDED
A free Cults3D account. Sign-up takes an email address and a password.
COST OF THE MODEL
Mixed. Free models download immediately; paid ones are bought from the designer first (usually £1–£15) and then download the same way.
STEP BY STEP

FROM CULTS3D TO A PRICE

  1. 01
    Sign in to Cults3D
Click Log in at the top of any page. Cults won't show the download button to visitors who aren't signed in.
  2. 02
    Download, or buy then download
On a free model the button says Download. On a paid model it shows the price — buying it takes you through Cults' checkout, after which the same Download button appears. Purchases stay in your account under My orders if you need the file again.
  3. 03
    Choose the files
Cults lists each file the designer uploaded. Download the STL or 3MF files — or the zip if the designer bundled everything. Skip any .gcode or slicer-project files.
  4. 04
Upload it for an instant price
Go to the instant quote page and drop the file in — a zip is fine, we unpack it. You'll see a price straight away, then pick material, colour and quantity and pay online. Each file becomes its own part, so untick anything you don't need before you check out.

WHICH FILE, AND WHAT CATCHES PEOPLE OUT

WHICH FILE TO PICK ON CULTS3D
  • STL or 3MF. If there's a choice of 'supported' and 'unsupported' versions, pick unsupported — we add our own supports.
  • Skip .gcode, .chitubox, .lys or other slicer files.
CULTS3D GOTCHAS
  • Cults3D models come with a licence chosen by the designer. Most allow personal use; some forbid commercial use. Having your own copy printed for you is personal use — reselling the prints is not.
  • Paid Cults3D files are yours once bought. You're uploading your own purchased copy to us; we don't redistribute it.
  • Some designers upload a single zip that also contains renders and instructions — that's fine, we ignore what we can't print.

FILES, SIZES AND LICENCES

Pick model files, not print files
STL, 3MF, OBJ and STEP are model files and quote instantly. Gcode, .chitubox, .lys and other sliced or project files are set up for someone else's printer and can't be priced — leave them.
Zips are fine
Upload the zip as downloaded. We open it, keep the printable files and drop the photos and readme. Each printable file becomes its own part with its own price.
Check the size
The quote page shows each part's dimensions in mm. A part that reads 25× smaller than expected was modelled in inches — tell us in the notes and we'll scale it before printing.
Licences
Free models carry a licence set by the designer. Having your own copy printed for your own use is what those licences expect. If a licence says non-commercial, that's about selling the prints on, not about having one made.
FAQ

CULTS3D QUESTIONS

Can Bicester3D buy a Cults3D model on my behalf?
No. Paid models are licensed to the buyer, so you buy it in your own Cults3D account and upload the file to us. We print your copy for you.
Is it allowed to have a Cults3D model printed by a service?
For personal use, yes — that's the normal case and what the designers expect. If a model's licence says non-commercial, you can't sell the prints on, but having one made for yourself is fine.
Should I pick the pre-supported or unsupported file?
Unsupported. Pre-supported files are set up for a specific hobby resin printer. We generate supports for our own machines and remove them before dispatch.
